1939 65 Minutes Black & White Starring: Dave O’Brien, Dorothy Scott
In the 1930’s one of the favoured subjects of Poverty Row exploitation films was the "evil of the Devils Weed" – Marijuana. These films were intended to warn audiances( through misguided information) how marijuana was destorying the youth of America. Remember prohibition was over, they needed a new scapegoat. Today "Reefer Madness" is considered high camp comedy.
