Faces in the Fog (1944)

In this melodrama, two young lovers secretly elope after the woman is involved in a hit-and-run accident. The young groom takes the rap and is thrown out of school. The bride’s enraged father shoots the boy. At the trial the bride lies on the stand to save her dad. Things work out, and the young couple goes on a honeymoon.
