Ginger Rogers, a hard-working white-collar girl from a Philadelphia,  low, middle-class family, meets and falls in love with young socialite Wyn Strafford but his family rejects her. She moves to New York to make a life and Wyn follows, marries her and they go to contend with his family – they are rude and obnxious letting her know she doesnot belong. She divorces Wyn only to find out she’s pregnant .
