The murder of fine art dealer Albert Sayre (John T. Murray) draws private investigator/playboy Oliver Keith (Reginald Denny) and his sassy gal Friday Ella Carey (Patricia Farr) into a confusing swirl of suspects and motives. Blackmail, jealousy, corruption, missing bonds and a contested will are the ingredients of this deadly mix. Suspects include an unfaithful wife,a philandering physician, a disowned daughter and her fiance and a gallery of disgruntled antique collectors. Oliver and Ella follow a trail littered with false leads, murdered witnesses and more than the occasional cocktail in this thriller reminiscent of The Thin Man.
