Based on a novel by Inspector Maigret creator Georges Simenon, this unusual British suspenser stars Stanley Holloway as a panhandler who opens car doors for people in London’s theatre district. When a corpse with a cash-stuffed wallet falls out of a vehicle, Holloway helps himself to some of the money and finds himself involved in a deadly mystery. Holloway is very good in a rare straight role.
