This hilarious slapstick farce starring Mickey Rooney (Off Limits) is based on a wild story by the great Blake Edwards (The Pink Panther). When Barnaby ‘Blix’ Waterberry (Rooney) and fellow prospector Robert Strauss (Stalag 17) go searching for uranium in a remote part of Nevada, they wander into the exact spot where the Army is about to detonate an atom bomb. Waterberry manages to emerge in perfect condition along with his peanut butter and sardine sandwich. An instant celebrity, he quickly senses the huge commercial potential in being the first human being to survive an atomic blast, but first he has to help the FBI break up an enemy spy ring. This classic sci-fi comedy is packed with laughs and some of the wildest scenes ever put on film. Directed by Leslie H. Martinson (Batman, Fathom).
